Accessibility
How we make the shop usable for everyone, and where it still falls short.
We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from FACETORI. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Text and background colours meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard; focus is always visible. Product strands can be scrolled with the arrow keys or the previous and next buttons.
- Images have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations stop when your device is set to reduce motion. The rotating bead on the home page then stays still, and the video does not start on its own.
- The page language is set correctly for each of our six languages.
Known limitations
- The rotating bead on the home page is a visual way to browse our bags. Everything it shows is also available as normal links in the bag strand directly below it and on the shop pages.
- Some payment screens are provided by our payment provider; their accessibility is outside our control.
